Why is it so hard to recruit the right person?

According to the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth, 60 percent of companies in the startup scene and 28 percent of small and medium sized businesses experience recruitment difficulties. These difficulties stems in the lack of competence on the market, the struggle to attract the right competence and the lack of financial resources to hire someone -  just to mention a few.

Companies need to improve their role specifications according to the HR-expert Johannes Sundlo who was interviewed by Techarena. ”You write down a long checklist of requirements where hardly anyone matches, and if someone does, it would probably cost you more than you are willing to pay”.
